January & February Update - Instagram Post

It's been an interesting few months for us. Sascha had a bit of a difficult time adjusting to school after her 3 weeks off, and so did we, so we slowed down in January. Then we got hit with colds... never ending colds, runny noses, coughing, the whole nine yards. Our weekends became a little more quiet instead of our usual action packed schedules. Sascha has been wanting to stay home more... it's almost strange, because she used to ask right away "Where we going today?", she never wanted to stay home.

Is it because of the crazy month of December we had followed by our Cruise? It did seem non-stop, going, going, going like an energizer bunny. May be it's time to slow it down a bit... which is exactly what we've been doing, and it's nice. I am liking this "homebody" period. At times it makes me feel a bit guilty for not doing fun things out with the kids, but who said we can't have fun being at home, drawing, coloring, putting puzzles together, playing with princess castles and legos. Of course getting sick slowed us down a bit, plus Sascha had a UTI mid-January which really worried me. She hasn't had any incidents since she had the surgery to fix her VUR a year and a half ago. We are treating it as an incident for now, and really hope it doesn't repeat itself.

We still had a few Bday parties here and there, but for the most part we just relaxed and enjoyed our quiet weekends at home. Most of these photos are from January and February.

Picture Recap: Cameron doesn't sit still for long, but I got this cute picture of them both sitting on the couch watching a cartoon. They look so much alike, it's almost scary!

An after-work outing with Sascha to the park for a gorgeous sunset. Working on puzzles.

Cameron loves balls, throws them all over the place. Sascha being Sassy in her sunglasses. More photos of the kids playing at home. Sascha loves to play Memory with us, she wins most of the time. We went to check out an SDSU basketball game with my Dad, Aaron, and friends Jacob & Liz.
Sascha is starting to let me braid her hair, and I am getting better at it. Cam playing with the hexa bugs and typing away on the keyboard while I worked from home. I brought out the ball - popper (Sascha's old toy) and both the kids were so amused, kept them busy for over half an hour... gotta love that!

A Park outing with Baba, Deda and Grandpa. Sascha brought her scooter and daddy helped her scoot her way back to the house. Cam playing with the girls while Sascha is in dance class. S feeling sassy in her sunglasses, she likes posing for photos now... such a ham!
