It's official, you are sitting up... well at least for a few minutes. When I get you to focus on a favorite toy of yours... like the book that plays music, you are able to sit up for quite some time. Yay, good job munchkin!

Legoland and Padre Game

You went to your 2nd Padre game. This time it was warm out and you were big enough to wear your really cute pink Padre's outfit that our friends got for you before you were even born. We got so many comments while we were walking at the stadium, people just couldn't resist. I think the pink hat just topped it off!
Also we went to Legoland with you for the first time, and it happened to be on your 6 month b-day :). You had a good time, I am sure we'll come back when you can actually appreciate it more. You did go on your first ride on the little train, it was really cute. It was the longest time that we had you out. Your naps were super short but you did great, didn't fuss too much.
Happy Father's day... last Sunday
We had a full day on this Father's day Sunday. It was Sascha's first time on grandpa Dave's boat. You did very well, took a short nap once and was pretty happy the rest of the time.
Message from Sascha: Happy Father's day daddy! Here is a little something that I made for you... ok well mommy helped a little, but it was all my idea!

6 Months

It's been 6 months since you came into this world. We went for your 6 month check up and here are your stats:
Weight: 14 lbs - 12%
Height: 26.75 inches - 82%
Head Circ: 16 inches - 6%
I think it's pretty funny that your height is in the 82nd percentile while your weight is in the 12th. You seem to have quite a few little rolls... on your legs mostly and you have a double chin. The doctor was very happy about your growth so you're doing just fine. We are introducing more and more solid foods. You are now on rice cereal and oat cereal (you prefer oat) and you've tried carrots and sweet potatoes and this weekend you tried your first fruit - apple sauce and you loved it! So yay, i think we'll try squash and pears next and see how you do with those.
No signs of teeth yet, but everything you grab goes into one place and that's your mouth. Sometimes you drool a ton, and other times you don't. You are so curious about everything, as soon as you see something you reach for it and play with it. You are finally exploring the jumperoo, moving all around to different little stations and turning and touching the little toys, it seems to be a lot of fun. The one thing you don't love doing yet is rolling, you do it, but not all the time, so I think I need to be better at encouraging you to roll. Your baby push ups are definitely getting stronger and you get higher up off the ground. No real signs of crawling yet, just inching up a little if you have something to push off from. You can sit up by yourself for a few seconds, but you're not too steady yet. You pull up to a sitting position very well with just holding on to our fingers. It's been so much fun to play and interact with you. What a difference just a few weeks makes. When we read, you start pulling on the book (once again trying to get a part of it into your mouth) and you look at the pictures and sometimes even make noises. So cute! Oh and of course when you grab your feet, your toes go right into your mouth.
Here is your 6 month picture. Your hair is getting long, this little clip didn't stay on too long, but it was so darn cute! In the other picture you're holding your two feel as if you were up in the air doing a little cheerleader routine... haha
